St. Helens Pals

Alan Treweeke Champion, the C.O. of 'A' Coy. wrote a daily diary throughout the war. This was transcribed and annotated. The diary also contains copies of Operation Orders, telegrams, and various drawings he made.

The book was launched at the St. Helens Central Library on 22nd February, 2015, 101 years to the day that the Pals left St. Helens for Bangor. Of the original print run of 500 copies, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, over 400 were given away at the event which was attended by the Mayor of St. Helens, Stephen Glover.
